7. CONSENT CALENDAR
a) Approval of minutes for May 10, 2010 meeting
Commissioner Forrest made a motion to approve the consent calendar. Seconded by Commissioner Elholm. All in favor. Motion carried.
8. DISCUSSION ITEM
a) Staff Presentation on the Role of the Planning Commission, the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
Senior Planner McNamara gave a power point presentation on the Role of the Planning Commission, General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
Questions and discussions by the Commissioners with explanations by staff.

10. PLANNING DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Director Allinder reported that there would be two items brought to the Commission in August, one being AB 170 and a Precise Development Plan for a mixed use project on 7th Place and D Street. She also informed the Commission that a Precise Development application had been received by Walmart and that the revised fee schedule and project tracking program would be going to Council on the 20th, with the fee schedule being a clean up as an interim until an update is completed.
11. COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS
A discussion on the High Speed Rail System and maintenance yard, question on whether Wasco is still in the running for that location. Staff informed the Commission that the maintenance yard location had been cut down to four locations left in the running with Wasco being one of the four.
A question on the electrical cords running along City streets, staff explained that a company was in town doing seismic studies for an oil company.

Commissioner Drescher made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Forrest. All in favor. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
