1) CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Pro Tem Espitia called the meeting to order at 5:05

2) ROLL CALL - Mayor Pro Tem Espitia, Members Cortez, Hively and Wegman.
Absent: Mayor West

Absent: Directors, Heywood and Wimberley
3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
4) PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS- none
5) DISCUSSION OF RECREATION AND PARKS ITEMS:
a. Discuss Annin Avenue Sports Complex
b. Discuss new baseball fields
Chair made a correction to the agenda stating that the correct name of the park as Annin Soccer Fields.
Discussions were regarding 10 fields total.
The fields are built to AYSO standards for drainage and slope.
All four corners have pins for goals.
63 trees are planted outside of playing area for shade.
Irrigation is installed, all solar, no maintenance expense.
There will be fencing around Annin Street
Director Wimberley arrived at 5:25.
Phase II will be parking lots, restrooms and replacing the sump with playground equipment
The City will maintain the soccer fields for now.
The need for future meetings to discuss soccer programs for the fields.
Future grant possibilities were discussed.
Possible creation of a park lighting and maintenance district.
5b. brief discussion regarding north of Hwy 46 Park which will consist of a Babe Ruth diamond and 3 little league diamonds.
6) CONCLUDING REMARKS
Director Garland asked about the Quimby balance of funds, staff answered with the amount of near $255,000.
7) ADJOURNMENT: Member Cortez made a motion to adjourn at 5:45 p.m., 2nd by Member Hively. All in favor, meeting adjourned.
