City of Wasco Study Session Minutes
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Present: Mayor Pro Tem Espitia, Members: Cortez, Hively and Wegman.
Absent: Mayor West
Mayor Pro Tem Espitia opened the study session at 5:00pm
Mayor West arrived at 5:10 p.m.
1. City Council study session to consider options for containing blight in foreclosed subdivisions.
Presentation by Marshall F. Linn of Urban Futures
City Manager Mittag introduced Marshall Linn of Urban Futures who reported on an option for blight removal in the community.
The presentation covered the possible creation of a new Redevelopment area to encompass the foreclosed properties within the city to create a funding mechanism for the city.
Mayor West adjourned the study session adjourned at 6:05, 2nd by Member Espitia. Motion carried, session adjourned.
