1. City Council study session on best practices utilized in other communities to enhance and protect local revenues for community service.
Presentation by Catherine Lew of The Lew Edwards Group.
Assistant City Manager Zervis introduced Catherine Lew of the Lew Edwards group.
Ms. Lew gave a presentation to council and staff on "How to protect local revenue and maintain public services to the community.
Ms. Lew gave a brief history of their company's successes and told council that they were proud of their record of revenue building for communities.
Ms. Lew gave examples of different measures that could be proposed and how they would need to be approved for viability.
Ms. Lew gave information regarding the pre-election phase, campaign phase and funding mechanisms.
Member Espitia arrived at 5:15 p.m.
Ms. Lew provided council with voter information on the community and how it could best serve this process.
There was discussion regarding the process and timelines.
Study session adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
