1) CALL TO ORDER: Mayor West called the meeting to order at 4:00p.m.
2) ROLL CALL Mayor West, Members Cortez, Espitia, Hively and Wegman.
Others Present: Attorney Garcia, City Manager Mittag, City Clerk Hight, Finance Director Zervis, Public Works Director Allen, Community Development Director Heiser
3) COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE: None
4) Report and Minute Action RE: Appoint a two person committee to interview and recommend appointment for Kern Mosquito and Vector Control District (Mayor West)
Member Wegman made a motion to appoint Member Espitia and Cortez to the committee, 2nd by Member Hively. Motion carried. City Clerk will set appointments with candidates.
Member Cortez made a motion to adjourn to a closed session at 4:01 p.m., 2nd by Member Espitia.
Mayor West reconvened open special meeting at 4:16 p.m.
5) CLOSED SESSION
a) Public Employee Recruitment - City Manager
Government Code Section 54957 (City Council)
Attorney Garcia reported that no reportable action was taken.
6) ADJOURNMENT
Member Wegman made a motion to adjourn at 4:16 p.m., 2nd by Member Espitia. Motion carried 5-0-0.
