MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 29, 2005
1. CALL TO ORDER- Mayor Wegman called the meeting to order at 12.04 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL- Present: Mayor Wegman, Council Members Cortez, West & Espitia, City Manager Pennell, City Clerk Hight, Former City Clerk Gibson, Executive Secretary Krause, Public Works Director Jones, Supt. of Streets & Projects Wren and Planning Director Woodcock. Councilmember Pearson was absent.
3. NEW BUSINESS- a) Report and possible minute action, re: Approval to purchase bucket truck- Public Works Director Jones explained that the truck being replaced was obsolete, unsafe, not worth repairing and recommended replacing it with a 2000 model at a cost of $60,000.00.
Motion by Councilmember Cortez to approve, 2nd by Councilmember Espitia. All in favor, motion carried.
4. ADJOURNMENT- 12.08 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Cortez, 2nd by Councilmember West. All in favor, motion carried.
