5)  PRESENTATIONS AND AWARDS:  Proclamation citing the week of April 2-8, as “Public Health Week 2006” in Wasco, presented to Public Health Nurse Judy Pedro and Public Health Aide Socorro Martinez of the Kern County Department of Public Health, Wasco District Office.

7)  CONSENT CALENDAR: The Consent Agenda consists of items that in staffs' opinion are routine and non-controversial.  These items are approved in one motion unless a Councilmember or member of the public removes a particular item.

        a)      Approval of Minutes from the Regular Meeting on March 7, 2006.

        b)      Approval of Bill Paying List.

        c)      Acceptance of the January and February 2006 Building Permit Reports.

        d)      Acceptance of Monthly Code Enforcement Report by Fire Prevention Services, Inc. for the month           of February 2006.

        e)      Approval of a Resolution in Support of Measure to Secure Local Transportation Funding.

        f)      Acceptance of low quote of $12,292 from Granite Construction Company for Emergency Repair of            Alley between Pacific Tire and J&J Market.

        g)      Acknowledge Receipt of Correspondence.

        h)      Approve the Reading of All Ordinances and Resolutions by Title Only and  
Approve Publication of All Ordinances in Summary Form.
8)      Report, Public Hearing and Possible Approval, RE: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WASCO DECLARING THERE ARE NO UNMET TRANSIT NEEDS THAT CAN BE REASONABLY MET WITHIN THE CITY OF WASCO (Jones)

9)      Report and Possible Approval, RE: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WASCO ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR A THIRTY-FOUR (34) UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX (EL MIRAGE) (located at the northeast corner of Filburn & Poplar Avenues) (Wren)

10)     Report, Second Reading and Possible Adoption of an Ordinance, RE:  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WASCO APPROVING ZONE CHANGE 05-04 REGARDING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WASCO (located at the Southeast corner of Central Park Dr. and Central Avenue)(Woodcock)

11)     Report, Second Reading and Possible Adoption of an Ordinance, RE: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WASCO APPROVING ZONE CHANGE 06-05, APPROVING A CHANGE TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF WASCO RE-CLASSIFYING APPROXIMATELY FOURTEEN (14) ACRES OF LAND DESIGNATED A R-1-6 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL 6,000 sq. ft. LOT) TO R-R (RURAL RESIDENTIAL) (located approximately ½ mile South and East of the Intersection of Palm and Filburn Avenues) (Woodcock)
